RATIONALE FOR GLOBAL EDUCATION

Global competence provides the 21st-century tools and skills required to solve real-world issues. Global education and learning allows us to eliminate boundaries between citizens, communities, and countries by enabling communication, collaboration, engagement, creativity, unity, dialogue, and debates across all levels of society.

GLOBAL EDUCATION GUIDE

The Global Education Guide (GEG) is an action-oriented capstone project that will serve as a resource to my school/district community on Global Education. The Global Education Guide Goals: a) to synthesize skills, methodologies, and strategies used in global education in order to be an author and analyst of pedagogical materials; b) to identify, predict, assess, and problem-solve challenges and opportunities for global competency in the local community in order to infuse global perspectives into the curriculum; and c) to provide a response for local educators, detailing relevant global education pedagogy and opportunities in order to enhance student learning outcomes. This guide contains three major sections to introduce you to global education and to support you in implementing global education in your classroom.
