One of the most effective ways to globalize education is to globalize classroom curriculum. The attached Unit Plan has helped prepare me to be a leader in global curriculum design by applying my learning from the TGC Online course to create a stellar example of global curriculum. Not only did I have the foundation to further globalize my curriculum, but I will also have the tools to guide other educators interested in doing the same. The Unit Plan: Digital Citizenship, encapsulates my curriculum design for global competence, and serves as a cornerstone of my Global Education Guide. Enduring Understanding:
- Students will understand that being responsible on the internet and developing a positive digital footprint is a lifetime process.
- Students will understand that demonstrating appropriate manners and etiquette when interacting with people of diversity including age, cultural differences and persons with disability is a lifelong skill.
- Students will understand that working collaborative with others is a critical skill for today’s workforce.
